1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the DeFi Pulse Tracker browser extension ("the Extension") distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and to this marketing website ("the Site"). The Extension is published by an independent developer and is not affiliated with Google LLC, CoinGecko, or any news publisher, protocol or exchange.

2. Data the Extension collects

None. The Extension does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, financial information, authentication credentials, location, or user activity analytics. It contains no advertising SDK and no third-party tracking pixel. This matches the data-handling declaration made on the Extension's Chrome Web Store listing.

3. Data stored on your device

To make the Extension usable, a small amount of information is stored locally in your browser's own extension storage:

• Articles you have starred as favourites
• Your selected filters, language and display preferences
• A short cache of recently fetched headlines and prices, to reduce network requests

This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to the developer, and is deleted when you remove the Extension from your browser or clear its storage.

4. Third-party services the Extension contacts

To display content, the Extension makes outbound requests to public, publicly documented endpoints:

• Public RSS / RSS-to-JSON sources — to retrieve cryptocurrency news headlines.
• CoinGecko public price API — to retrieve cryptocurrency price and 24-hour change data.

As with any HTTP request, those providers may log standard technical information such as your IP address and user agent under their own privacy policies. The developer does not control and does not receive those logs. Please review the privacy policies of the providers whose content you consume.

5. Permissions and why they exist

• Side panel — to render the news interface inside Chrome's side panel.
• Storage — to keep favourites and preferences on your device.
• Context menu — to let you right-click selected text and filter news by that term.
• Alarms / background refresh — to periodically update headlines and prices.
• Host access to the feed and price endpoints — to fetch the content described above.

6. This website

The Site is a static informational page. It does not require an account, does not host a login, and does not ask you to submit personal information. If the Site is served through a hosting provider or content delivery network, that provider may keep standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and operational purposes. If advertising or analytics tags are added to the Site in future — for example to measure Google Ads campaign performance — those tags may set cookies or similar identifiers in accordance with the relevant provider's policies, and this page will be updated to say so.

7. Children

The Extension and the Site are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and no data about children is knowingly collected.

8. Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or held by the developer, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, export or erase. You can remove all locally stored information at any time by uninstalling the Extension. If you believe personal data relating to you has nonetheless been processed, contact the developer using the address below and the matter will be addressed.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Extension or to legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected by a revised "last updated" date at the top of this page.
